We are seeking a MySQL Database/Systems Admin to join our software engineering team. Our system consists of a high volume data warehouse in a hosted environment. Candidate must have experience with high availability systems and data warehousing.

MySQL DBA

Major Responsibilities:
• Query optimizations
• Database Monitoring and tuning
• Database Backup

Occasional Duties:
• Installations and upgrades of database SW and schema
• Database Security
• Troubleshooting

Essential Skills/Qualifications:
• 5+ years of MySQL DBA experience in the following areas:
• Experience with MySQL 5.0 and later database administration in a 24×7 highly available production environment.
• Experience in creating data warehouses, including data extracts, summary tables, de-normalization, etc.
• Working with PHP engineers on database design and query optimization
• Designing and managing tables, indexes, stored procedures, partitions, events and their logs, etc.
• Installing, configuring and upgrading MySQL database, in Linux environment.
• Experience with working on High availability and High throughput Production environments and troubleshooting.
• Experience with event scheduling, triggers, stored procedures
• Hands-on experience with replication and clustering
• Linux scripting and cron
